作者簡介: 楊孝明教授，1977年畢業(yè)于西安外國語大學(xué)，獲學(xué)士學(xué)位，留校認(rèn)教。1984年赴英國學(xué)習(xí)，并于1985年和1991年先后獲得英語諾丁漢大學(xué)語言學(xué)碩士和美國俄亥俄州鮑陵格林州立大學(xué)英語博士學(xué)位，現(xiàn)為美國新澤西海洋學(xué)院終身教授，美國"現(xiàn)代語言協(xié)會(huì)"和"全美英語教師聯(lián)合會(huì)"永久會(huì)員。楊孝明教授在學(xué)術(shù)研究方面也很有成績，迄今已出版中、英文學(xué)術(shù)專著4部，譯著1部，其英文專著The Rhetoric of Propaganda 和Error of Creativity在英國牛津大學(xué)、劍橋大學(xué)、哈佛大學(xué)、耶魯大學(xué)等大學(xué)圖書館均有收藏。
