　　One day Snippy and Snappy wander away from home while playing with their mother's yarn ball. Their journey takes them to a large house full of mysterious things including cupboards full of wonderful-smelling cheese. Just as Snappy begins to nibble at a piece of cheese in a mousetrap their father jumps down to rescue them and lead them safely back home.

　　Nothing at all
　　
　　"Nothing-at-all" is the name of an orphaned puppy living with his two brothers until two children come to adopt them. Unfortunately Nothing-at-all gets inadvertently left behind－not out of cruelty but because he is invisible!
　　He is horribly lonely until he meets a bird a Jackdaw who says that he knows how to make the puppy visible. Nothingat- all doesn't think much of the bird at first but follows the instructions anyway and after a little time hard work and a lot of dizziness the puppy becomes visible and is adopted along with his brothers.
　　
　　The Funny Thing
　　The Funny Thing is Wanda Gag’s follow-up to her well-loved classic Millions of Cats . It tells the story of a curious dragonlike “aminal” that eats children’s dolls. A kindly man named Bobo cannot stand by and allow this to happen. He entices it to eat the concoction “jum-jills.”
　　A happy ending is assured when the Funny Thing discovers he loves them and never eats another doll.
　　
　　THE ABC BUNNY
　　An unfortunate accident with an Apple drives Bunny from Bunnyland to Elsewhere. Every letter in the alphabet is represented in Bunny’s journey through what he eats (Greens) to whom he meets (Insects Jay Kitten Lizard) and then a little sleep (Nap) to Tripping back to town right side Up and Up-sidedown.

　　GONE IS GONE
　　In this delightful story we meet Fritzl a farmer who lives with his wife Liesi their baby kinndli and Spitz their dog. Fritzl works hard in the fields every day. Liesi works hard all day too but Fritzl somehow feels that he works harder. When he complains about how hard he works and how easy Liesi has it and Liesi suggests they trade places.
　　The tale’s sly peasant humor and conversational style combined with Gag’s expressive black-and-white illustrations made the book an instant classic. The hilarious outcomes of Fritzl's calamitous day at home are portrayed in Gag's singular illustrations. In the end Fritzl admits that his wife's work is "none too easy” and begs to return to his fields and not do housework another day. And they live in peace and happiness for ever and ever.

作者簡(jiǎn)介: 　　婉達(dá)·蓋格（WandaGag），美國(guó)著名圖畫(huà)書(shū)女作家、畫(huà)家。1893年3月出生于美國(guó)明尼蘇達(dá)州的新烏爾姆。父親是一位畫(huà)家和攝影師，他不但用他的繪畫(huà)才能替別人裝飾房子和教堂來(lái)養(yǎng)家，還把他的藝術(shù)天賦傳給了所有的孩子。婉達(dá)·蓋格或許就是為畫(huà)畫(huà)而生，在她17歲時(shí)的日記中曾這樣寫(xiě)道：“我自己的座右銘——畫(huà)是為了活著，而活著是為了畫(huà)?！碑?huà)畫(huà)一直都是她生活的動(dòng)力。
　　1928年婉達(dá)·蓋格出版了《數(shù)不清的貓》。這本圖畫(huà)書(shū)為她贏得了極大的聲譽(yù)，先后獲得了1929年的紐伯瑞獎(jiǎng)銀獎(jiǎng)和她逝世后才設(shè)立的劉易斯·卡洛爾書(shū)架獎(jiǎng)。并入選紐約公共圖書(shū)館“每個(gè)人都應(yīng)該知道的100種圖畫(huà)書(shū)”、日本兒童文學(xué)者協(xié)會(huì)編的《世界圖畫(huà)書(shū)100選》、日本兒童書(shū)研究會(huì)/繪本研究部編的《圖畫(huà)書(shū)：為了孩子的500冊(cè)》。
　　她的主要作品包括《TheFunnyThing》、《SnippyandSnappy》、《TheABCBunny》（獲1934年紐伯瑞獎(jiǎng)銀獎(jiǎng)）；《SnowWhiteandtheSevenDwarfs》和《NothingatAll》分別獲1939年和1942年凱迪克獎(jiǎng)銀獎(jiǎng)。
